Overview

The best way to see the Mona Lisa is without the crowds that almost always surround her. Because there is no way to get her all to yourself, we’ve done the next best thing: As the museum starts to close and everyone else rushes for the doors, we take advantage of the natural thinning of crowds. Entering at this time, you’ll find the room almost totally empty so you can get up close to the great lady for a peaceful 20 minute visit with your guide. Of course you’ll see the best of the rest too. You’ll spend 3 hours viewing the very best artwork in the Louvre with an art historian, learning what makes these masterpieces so world-renowned.

Not to be missed

koglaw, Sept 2025

Adam was an amazingly informed and engaging tour guide. We had a quick entry and he got us great access to the top hits , including ending with easy access to Mona Lisa. We learnt so much about a wide range of art, possibly the best tour we have ever taken

Don’t miss this tour while in Paris

markalanandredc, Sept 2025

This tour is one of the best I’ve ever been on. Had I gone to the Louvre by myself, I would have skipped the Mona Lisa. Adam’s tour put the work in an incredible context. His knowledge extends far and wide in the art world and shared the highlights of the Louvre. Adam is the most engaging tour guide I’ve ever had.

Tour of The Louvre with Violette

Violette was an amazing tour guide!! She was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts with us. I was walking with an ankle injury, but and she was so concerned and accommodating! Loved the tour!!

Team Adam - Best Louvre experience ever

cassien189, Aug 2025

Adam was absolutely phenomenal, fun, knowledgeable, and more. Made our experience 10/10. We moved at a fast enough pace to see an extra room, but a slow enough pace that nothing felt rushed. His insight into the history gave us an entirely new perspective and we appreciated all the specific vantage points he took us too. I wish Adam was our guide on every tour. By the end of our tour, he was not only our tour guide, but our friend. It was super impressive how he remembered all of our names and where we were from that made us feel included. Bravo, Adam!

Itinerary

  • Louvre Museum

Mona Lisa is a popular lady, so don't miss the chance to get close to her without the crowds. On this last-entry Louvre tour, explore the museum's essential sections with an expert guide, and then experience the beauty of the world-famous painting in peace right as the doors are closing. Accompanied by your expert guide, discover the palace's foundations at the moat, and then wander among the collection of Classical Greek statues to find the mysterious Venus de Milo and the triumphant Winged Victory of Samothrace. Study the masterpieces of Caravaggio, Raphael, and da Vinci, admire the Romantic finesse of Géricault's The Raft of Medusa, and venture inside a room sparkling with Crown Jewels. Make your way to the Mona Lisa Room and enjoy the freedom to get as close to the small but monumental painting as you like, soaking up the beauty of the lady's ambiguous and endlessly analyzed expression.
