You will be taken up to the base of Kötlujökull glacier, where the view in front of you will be simply breathtaking: layers of different colored ice creating a striped pattern on the glacier will reveal thousands of years of history right before your eyes! Your knowledgeable guide will tell you all about it and about the Ice Cave itself, that shortly after you will go on a small hike to arrive. When you are back out from the glacier the group will walk around and see if any smaller ice caves are accessible before returning back to the super truck. The drive back to Vik is an amazing one and in wintertime, the sun will start to sit behind the mountains creating a magical wintery sunset. Make sure to bring your camera!
