This tour is a 2 and a half hour walking tour of the infamous Third Reich sites in Berlin.Uncover Berlin’s turbulent history as the capital of the Third Reich and discover with an expert guide what drove the German people to war as you visit the historical sites and see where Hitler and the Nazi party rallied support and plunged the world into terror.After a ten-minute introduction your guide will take you first to the memorial to the victims of the Third Reich and provide insight into the cruel social philosophies that would later underpin the Holocaust. After this, your tour will continue to the Reichstag (the German Parliament building), where you will learn how the Nazi Party were elected to power and how Hitler became the Führer of Germany. Intertwined with the fierce final battle for the city in 1945, your guide will highlight key street battles, explain Russian and German military strategy as well point out the battle scars which can still seen in the buildings today. After viewing the Jewish memorial and the Führer bunker where the dictator spent his final days, you will continue down Wilhelm Straße, which once was the political heart of Nazi Germany. The tour will end where the Gestapo headquarters once stood, there you will have the chance for a break to get tea or coffee and use the restrooms.
