Overview

You can't come to London without visiting Westminster Abbey, the House of Parliament and the famous Big Ben. On this tour you'll gain new knowledge about the role and lives of MPs, Lords and key officers across parliament. Discover how and why the Elizabeth Tower, the Great Clock and the Great Bell, Big Ben, were built. To begin the tour, join your guide at the entrance of Westminster Abbey for a guided tour of the building, followed by a mini self guided audio tour of Parliament. The latter offers picturesque views, with its golden spires and statues of kings reflected in the river. Flanked by Victoria Tower, you'll also learn the history of the Elizabeth Tower otherwise known as the Big Ben, from the first medieval clock tower built at the old Palace of Westminster to the design and construction of the present incarnation. With Big Ben being one of the most famous images of London, here you'll encounter a building considered a World Heritage site by UNESCO since 1987.
