This tour starts with an early morning pick up at your Bavaro or Punta Cana hotel. Get to know your local guide on the way to a typical Dominican country plantation.
Meet the local famers and hear about their organic farming methods, used to cultivate cinnamon, cacao, coffee, and vanilla. Taste coffee or hot chocolate, and take advantage of the opportunity to purchase some of these straight-from-the-source products to take home.
Climb back in your vehicle and ascend a mountain road deep into the jungle. Arrive at Monkeyland, a 5-acre (2-hectare) squirrel monkey habitat managed by a dedicated couple. Follow your guide on a guided tour of the sanctuary, where you have the chance to watch and feed the monkeys. Visit the botanical garden, featuring native trees, plants and flowers, before boarding your vehicle for transport back to your hotel at the end of your tour.

The experience was amazing. Monkeys were friendly and fun to watch and interact with. Learning about the Dominican alcohol was also a plus.

We spent a very enjoyable morning at Monkeyland. Our excursion was with Runners who picked us up and returned us to our hotel in an air conditioned bus. The morning began with an explanation and try out of the products grown, harvested and sold for the local farmers. We were advised how to behave and what to expect from the Squirrel Monkeys. The monkeys were a joy and obviously used to groups of tourists, so at ease interacting with us. To get up close to two mothers with their young babies on their backs was exceptional. The monkeys focus was always wh has the bowl with some fruit in it. Photographs were taken and these could be purchased at the end of your tour. Thank you to Ronnie, Antony and Aris for a lovely time with 25 Squirrel Monkeys.

Baldomar and Samuel gave us a great tour on the way to and from monkey land and monkey land itself was great and well worth it. Would definitely recommend

We were a group of 6 peoples, our guide Carlos Santana (que se toca las maracas y no la guitarra) was really friendly, informative and accomodating. The monkey tour was great, it's amazing to be in contact with them ! We also witnessed how coffee and cocoa are processed to make traditional drinks then tasted it (it was very good).
