Palazzo Vecchio is the symbol of Florence's political power and one of its most iconic buildings. Located in Piazza della Signoria, it was built in the 13th century and served as the residence of the Medici family before they moved to Palazzo Pitti. Today, it houses the Palazzo Vecchio Museum, featuring magnificent frescoed halls, artworks, and the famous Arnolfo Tower, which offers a breathtaking view of the city.
The Salone dei Cinquecento, located inside Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, is the largest hall in the palace and one of the most impressive in Italy. Built in 1494 by order of Savonarola, it was later expanded by Giorgio Vasari for Cosimo I de' Medici. Its walls are adorned with spectacular frescoes celebrating Florentine victories, while the coffered ceiling enhances the majestic atmosphere of the hall.
