Take off from Lyon and make your way to the beautiful southern Beaujolais region. First, journey into a vaulted cellar for an introduction to wine tasting with two distinct wines and a local pastry. Then, pass by the 12th-century village, Oingt, to see its medieval monuments, and end your tour at a winemaker’s estate with more tastings.

Great wine tour for beginner or experienced wine drinkers. Our group of 4 included both novice and experienced wine drinkers. We all had a great time and learned so much. Our guide, Francois, was very knowledgeable but not at all pretentious. He thought so about the region, the history, and the process of winemaking. The vineyards selected were friendly and beautiful. All the wines were high quality. All in all an excellent tour with a fun and friendly guide. Great value for the price. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful group and guide. The trip was thoroughly enjoyable, and we were so grateful for the air conditioned vehicle and cool caves! It was 99 degrees outside. The wine was delicious, the pours generous, and the explanations were enough, not too much. Thank you!

This tour was phenomenal! Both wineries were incredibly interesting and boasted delicious wines. So much history in this region, which was so cool to learn! My partner usually doesn’t like wine but loved everything we tried.

Really good experience. Our guide Wlad was excellent. In this region the vineyards are small family businesses, so there is no way we would have had this experience without his personal contacts. Learned a lot about the process of making wine, and the business side of things as well. We were given a total of 9 tasting samples, as well as a few nibbles at the second stop. The wine was surprisingly inexpensive if you wanted to get some bottles to take home. Only criticism is that I wish they’d had bottled water, or something to refill our bottles from, in the van.

Drive through the famous Golden Stones area, known for its ochre limestone villages, rolling vineyards and Tuscan-like atmosphere.
Visit a charming winery in the heart of the Pierres Dorées area, followed by a wine tasting with a traditional mâchon of local products.
