We met our guide at the train station. Only one recommendation and that would be that your guides have some kind of identifier as a Viator guide. Abraham was amazing! He took train from Lucerne to pick us up in Basel! It was so nice having a knowledgable individual to direct us thru the process! His tour and knowledge of Lucerne left us all with lasting memories! He directed us to a local restaurant. The food was amazing! The boat trip also beautiful! Despite some light rain we had an amazing day!!! Thank you!!!

Learning the history, seeing the beauty and our wonderful guide Oscar who went well out of his way to accommodate our needs and made sure we had a valued experience. He truly made the tour remarkable.

Even though it rained during our entire trip, our guide was wonderful and the group was small. It was easy to find our guide in the train station and easy to hear him with only 8 in our group. Train ride was comfortable. The Lion monument was covered for cleaning, so that was a bit of a let down. The guide didn't make us walk there for nothing. But lunch in an authentic Swiss restaurant was awesome and delicious. Great choice. The boat cruise was also impressive. A good narrative with snow on the peaks of the Alps. Rainy day or not, it was a great experience. I would highly recommend.

Meet your guide at the train station. Board the Intercity train to Luzern, where you arrive after one hour of travel time.
Cross the covered wooden footbridge spanning the river Reuss diagonally in the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel. One of the most known sight in Switzerland.
Visit the first bridge that was constructed in the 13th century to connect the Mühlenplatz on the right bank of the Reuss river with the mills in the middle of the river
With 1500 m2, the Mühlenplatz is the largest historic square in the city of Lucerne. The individual terraced houses are almost all typical urban wooden buildings, as have also been found in other Lucerne excavations.
In the heart of Lucerne's old town, in a beautiful location on Rathausquai directly on the Reuss, is the listed town hall. It is one of the most beautiful Renaissance houses in Switzerland and has a high status.
Inside and out, the historical hotel reveals itself in all its splendour. The famous facade murals are among the most photographed motifs in Lucerne. Viewed from the Reuss, the hotel calls to mind a Venetian palace. Today, the Hotel des Balances offers a balance of historical fabric and contemporary design
The Schweizerhofquai and Schwanenplatz is the quay section between the Schwanenplatz and the Kurplatz in the city of Lucerne. It lies on the right bank of Lake Lucerne. It's one of the most visited places in Luzern.
The Church of St. Leodegar is a Roman Catholic church in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. It was built in parts from 1633 to 1639 on the foundation of the Roman basilica which had burnt in 1633.
The Lion Monument is a rock relief. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution,
The KKL Luzern is a venue for concerts, congresses, meetings, conferences, panel discussions and events in the middle of the city. An architecturally exciting building and the place where you board the lake boat.
Spend one hour on the Lake Lucerne. A scenic roundtrip in the bay of Lucerne will take place.
