Pretty drive thru countryside. Driver was very versed in history. Didn't love that he used a taxi van to travel in as the windows and headrests made it hard to see out windows. Tour stops wer great.

This was the BEST excursion of our trip. Our tour guide Stuart was the BEST! He was very knowledgeable and kind! The castle was a full functioning castle and awesome to see and so was the battlefield and its history. I highly recommend this tour and guide.

We had a wonderful experience on this tour from beginning to end! We booked the tour last minute and the communication with Mike was quick and eaay. We were met by our tour guide Gene and the owner Mike which was a nice surprise. Having the owner there showed that Mike cares about his business and that we mattered. Gene was a great guide and very knowledgeable and funny. He cared about our comfort while also providing water and snacks for us. We had a time constraint, and Gene customized the tour to fit our time and also to our specific interests. Can't reccomend them enough! Excellent customer service!!

SUPER PLACE TO SEE THE FAMOUS HAIRY COO,S
and visit the farm shop
then on to Beauly priory
5 min drive
These extensive ruins were once home to a Valliscaulian monastic community and are regarded as one of Inverness Shire’s top tourist spots. Listed as a scheduled monument, the wooded riverside location really does give the Priory a special feel. While only the Abbey Church remains standing, it contains some impressive funerary monuments.
From Beauly Priory it’s tours picks up again,
this time over to loch ness to meet the monster.
30 min drive to next stop
A true product of its place of birth, Great Glen balances the sweet herbal honeysuckle notes of Scottish heather with the subtle tartness of Red Sorrel and the aromatic pine tones of Frankincense. Elevated by the purity of our own base spirit, this complex and rewarding gin has deep, lasting flavours that stay with you like the tales that transcend generations. Pull up a chair, pour a glass and start your own story.
THEN WE we will travel towards Loch Ness, with plenty of opportunities for photos at some of the most beautiful vantage points the loch has to offer on our Loch Ness tour and on to Inverness.
30 min drive to next stop
AND THEN ON TO INVERNESS AND THE St Andrews Cathedral
The tour then heads towards St. Andrew’s Cathedral, a beautiful cathedral church dating back to 1869 located near the centre of the city. The Anglican Cathedral is the most northerly in the UK, and is an excellent example of local architecture and the Gothic style. Take some time to admire the beautiful
glass windows and intricately carved stonework.
30 min drive to next stop, THEN ON TO CLAVA CAIRNS
Clava Cairns
This deeply sacred place within the landscape of the Highlands is steeped in history, with the first usage of the site thought to date back over 4000 years. Set within a beautiful forested area, there is evidence that ancient peoples returned here again and again; there are even the ruins of a medieval chapel here. The Clava Cairns serves as the inspiration for the fictitious Craigh na Dun standing stones in the book and TV series Outlander, in fact, the famous “cleft stone” that transports the main character Claire back in time can be found here.
Clava Cairns is a well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands.
For many years, it played second fiddle to its more famous neighbour, Culloden Battlefield. That all changed in 2014, with the release of the TV dramatization of Diana Gabaldon’s popular Outlander novel.
5min drive to next stop, AND THEN ON TO THE BATTLEFIELD
Culloden Battlefield
Culloden famously played host to the bloody Battle of Culloden, the outcome of which had ramifications far outside the local area and is intensively documented at the visitor centre. Get up close and personal with the history of the battle with artefacts, re-enactments and talks by local historians, before heading the short distance to Clava Cairns, an ancient bronze-age cemetery.
