Carla was amazing! An engaging evening with Carla and her husband learning about a variety of pasta dishes and tiramisu! Made from scratch and absolutely delicious! She was very attentive and checked up front for any food preferences or allergies. Wine was also excellent. An abundant amount of food and drink! Will definitely be going back out next time to Treviso! Feel like we’ve made lifelong friends !

Either way, it’s not only the most enjoyable experience but more than that - it’s richly satisfying on a deep emotional level. In some lost bygone days, all travel was like this… a fantastical mashup of Charles Dickens’ “Letters From Europe” and an episode of “Bonanza” where the trusting heroes take in a wandering stranger. Carla and Georgio are the hosts. Two of the most charming and delightful people I’ve ever met in my life. Carla made pasta ravioli with lemon pistachio ricotta filling, right at the table. Setting is in their farmhouse garden, under the shade of a cypress tree, as the sun fades on the Dolomites and the surrounding prosecco vines stretch into the distance. We talked. We laughed. We ate. I felt like an honorary Italian, just for one blessed evening…
