The chief and I have used viator many times so when this tour popped up we took it. Lucca is a lovely town so we enjoyed the tour. Our guide was friendly but as a private tour we had some disappointments. The night before the tour I contacted the operator and told her what hotel we were in and where should we meet. The appointed spot was a 10 minute walk which was fine but the tour ended right around the corner from our hotel so why not meet there? The tour said 3 hours, but it was just shy of 2. And we would have liked to hear more about life in Lucca. For the cost it wasn’t worth it.

My husband and I were introduced to Lucca by Amanda who was our guide for a walking tour. Amanda provided the best way for us to become more familiar with the city. Lucca has a rich history and this was best learned from Amanda who was a former art history teacher. She was informative and very accommodating to our questions, pace and interest. She even showed us a great cafe which we returned to several times. I highly recommend Amanda and this tour!

A private tour is a great way to see the city in a short time. Would miss a lot without a tour, as Lucca is a tiny town with a lot of charm and history We ate at Nonna Clara for lunch. We climbed the tower. Wonderful experience

Roberto was an incredibly informed and charming guide. He made the history of Lucca come alive with his stories and always had a quick (and usually humorous) answer to all of our questions. We highly, highly Roberto for any tour of Lucca and the surround areas!
