This canyon located on the Chartreuse massif, near Grenoble is one of the jewels of the region.
At the bottom of its casing of 60m flows an emerald water that we follow swimming, abseiling, sometimes jumping narrow and of course slipping on the natural slides.

Cancelled on me last minute for no reason

I stayed an extra day in Grenoble to go canyoning, but the morning of my canyoning trip vertical way called me and said that the trip is cancelled due to weather. I looked at the weather and it was projected to be fine, and sure enough, there was no rain, wind, or anything like that. It was partially cloudy all day. They gave me a refund, but I couldn’t do the one thing that I really want to do in Grenoble. Attached is a picture of the weather at the time we were supposed to embark.

Hello, Thank you for your comment. I understand your upset about the last minute cancellation and I'm sorry. Unfortunately, even if the weather is sunny, you should know that river water levels are often too high due to rainfall in recent weeks, not just due to rainfall on the day. This spring has been catastrophic for our business, with a lot of rain and rivers often in flood. For the record, we cancelled 60% of May bookings and 45% of June bookings. Our business is entirely dependent on the weather, and even if it's been fine for a week, that doesn't mean the canyons are passable. Once again, sorry for the inconvenience, and we look forward to seeing you next time.
