Overview

In the morning, meet your guide and tour group at the National Archives Building to begin this comprehensive tour around Washington DC. Travel aboard an air-conditioned, deluxe coach with a guide who knows the city inside and out.

Drive by more than 100 of Washington DC’s top sights, with stops at 10 of them, including the United States Capitol, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and more.

Along the way, hear the historic stories and facts that make the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. There is a lunch break roughly halfway through the day (own expense).

This tour also features a scenic boat cruise along the Potomac River (seasonally, generally available from April through mid October), or a stop at the Jefferson Memorial at other times of year.

After a full day out, the tour ends at the original starting point. However, you can choose to upgrade to include admission to the Washington Monument, National Air and Space Museum, or the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Cancelled tour the night before!

Brandon_M, Feb 2026

Booked over a month in advance. The night before our tour the tour was cancelled. Cancelled due to weather. There was no snow or freezing temperature. The temperature for the day was 48 degrees. Absolute let down!

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly understand how disappointing it can feel to have plans changed, especially after booking well in advance. This winter season in DC has experienced several severe winter weather conditions. For the safety and overall experience of our guests, we take care to monitor official weather advisories and when there is any concern about hazardous conditions, we may make the difficult decision to cancel tours out of an abundance of caution. These decisions are never made lightly, and always with guest safety as our top priority.

Best Tour even in bad weather

Marisol_M, Jan 2026

I booked the tour on Sat the 24th for a Sunday the 25th and due to inclement weather coming into DC on Jan 25th Chris contacted me and offered 2 different tours instead on Saturday in lieu of cancellation. We took them and I was very happy with the alternate plan. Chris and Sally did a great job with the night tour and in 19 degree weather we were able to experience a full tour of the city and key spots that I didn’t know we could have under those circumstances. I had a 10 year old and we were not disappointed with our trip thanks to them. Next time I come back I’m def contacting them for more tours.

Response from Host, Jan 2026

Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re so happy you enjoyed your tours and were able to experience so many new sights even with the snowy weather in DC. It means a lot to hear that the trip exceeded expectations and that Chris and Sally made the experience even more memorable. Thank you again of joining us, we can't wait to welcome you back again soon!
