A really interesting and eye-opening experience

My wife and I were given the tour as a present by our daughter through Virgin Experience Days - she lives in Australia so that is a very practical solution. Whilst my wife is really interested in period costumes I am not BUT I really love good drama, whether it be on the stage, TV, or film. What our excellent tour guide, Molly, did so well was to draw a straight line for us between all of those costumes and accessories (well over a million!) and really good drama. I was completely enthralled and Molly was good at throwing anecdotes and "nuggets" and that really brought it all alive for us. If you aren't in the business you don't know that a little military button could end up the size of a dinner plate on screen so they have GOT to get it right or the cognoscenti will spot the error and it will devalue the production for them. And we were completely unaware of the clever tips and tricks they use to adapt, mend, alter, and customise all of what they do. So despite my foreboding, it was such a highly enjoyable and informative afternoon and we would highly recommend it!

This company take your money and will not give refunds at any level, when they get bad reviews they shut down the site and then reopen another one. Do not buy or higher costumes through this company, they have stolen £50 of me and no costume or money refund, I asked for either.

Had a guided tour of Angels Costumes; Mark was excellent and displayed not only a fantastic knowledge of the company, but also an 'interesting' sense of humour ! (don't ask about spectrums and speculums). It was fascinating to see just how much detail goes into 'costuming' a production, be it on Broadway or on screen. My husband says he will never complain about the amount of clothes I have after seeing the 8 miles or racks there (as if !).

Enjoy a two hour walking tour around the home of Angels in North London - the premier provider of costumes for the entertainment industry. The tour which takes place at their warehouse where all the costumes are designed, fitted and stored shows you the whole process from start to finish.
Starting with an overview of the history of the family owned company since it was established in 1840 your knowledgeable guide will take you through of the departments that oversee the process including tailoting, alterations and uniforms and armoury where you will get a flavour of the thousands of costumes that have been made and stored on site.
The costumes made here have all appeared in many well known TV, Film and Stage productions including Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones and Wicked to name but a few. Who knows who might be having a fitting when you go on tour? The tour group size is strictly limited to 15 persons and whilst photography is allowed video footage is not.
