I highly recommend this tour, especially given by Natarajan (guide) and Mahendran (driver)! Natarajan was very knowledgeable and personable about the different temple sites we visited, answered my questions, including the silly ones! He graciously took photos for me at my request. We had a wonderful lunch -- it was at a vegetarian restaurant. I kept a list of meals I have enjoyed eating so far in Chennai and provided it Natarajan to help me order. For temple visits, you do need to take your shoes off at each temple. I wore socks and tennis shoes thinking I would need to walk more. I would advise doing this if you're not comfortable walking barefoot. Highly recommend to use the restrooms when Natarajan suggests, as they are the cleanest options on the tour (bring TP if you use it). Our tour went slightly over, but that was due to me taking my time at each location. My only regret is that Natarajan won't be available when I go to Delhi! Huge points for Mahendran keeping the car cool for the drive! :)

Guests can expect a mesmerizing experience of rituals and serenity inside the temple. Our cultural evangelist will demystify the happenings in the temple!

Fort St George is the first English Fortress built in 1644 by the East India Company. We will visit St Mary’s Church, the oldest Anglican Church of India. Our cultural evangelist will take you to a quaint museum rich with relics of the colonial times and retell the story of how the East Indian company morphed from a trading company into the ruler of India!
