Enjoy an immersive, fun-filled, and family-friendly way to learn all about medical history when you book tickets to Chester’s Sick to Death exhibition. Held in a historical venue, the exhibition focuses on the gory history of medicine, complete with interactive areas that kids will appreciate. Play with scientific equipment, pretend to operate on a body, and learn what doctors used to do to treat patients—and thankfully do no longer.

Sick to Death in Chester is hands down one of the most unique and entertaining attractions I’ve visited. Set in a fittingly gothic, historic building right on the city walls, the atmosphere is perfect before you even step inside. Think medieval spookiness meets medical mayhem with a healthy dose of humour thrown in! The experience is fully immersive, walking you through the gruesome and fascinating history of medicine, from plague doctors to Victorian surgery, all presented with a creative twist. It’s both educational and darkly hilarious definitely not your average museum. The staff are fantastic too: super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about making the visit memorable. Whether you’re a history fan, a lover of the weird and wonderful, or just looking for something totally different to do in Chester, Sick to Death is a must. It’s quirky, clever, and just the right amount of creepy. Highly recommend!

We were recommended this by a few people around the city, and we’re glad we went. The whole place is very interactive and informative, and not afraid to shy away from some of the weird and wonderful. Maybe those of an OCD or squeamish nature should think twice, however my other half is both and still enjoyed himself, even if it was me having to do all the interacting. The place is only small, and we got around one hour out of it, reading and poking everything we could find, however when you consider the price of admission, you’re very much getting your monies worth.

Brilliant day out today at Sick to Death. The staff member who sold us the ticket and chatted in the shop after was brilliant, really kind and funny and willing to chat away with us about all sorts of things, checking that we enjoyed ourselves. The museum itself is absolutely brilliant, load of information that you can find in many different ways, and lots of hands on activities to enjoy absolutely brilliant way to spend an afternoon

Found ourselves outside this "attraction" so we thought why not Tickets were £8 each and we started our tour Quite informative and gruesome in parts. It was okay but not worth £8 each
Prepare yourselves for bad smells, gross gore, a bit of magic and a lot of science and discovery in this family fun attraction.
Sick To Death reveals the gory story of medicine through time in this history of medicine attraction in Chester city centre - on the city's historic Rows. You are invited to enter a playground of plague with a smatter of splatter, and a chance to poke into our medical past.
The museum is self guided and walks you through doors and corridors to reveal history, science and medicine from the past and also for the future.
Sick to Death also includes a magical shop with sells everything from witches cauldrons to spell kits, crystals, poison chalices and creepy toys.
