Our pastry and chocolate tour of Marseille with Elizabeth was a fantastic experience. We learned a great deal about the region’s pastries as well as the history and character of the city. Getting there from the cruise terminal was easy—a quick taxi ride to the meeting point—and the tour length was perfectly timed, leaving us enough opportunity to enjoy lunch in town before heading back to board the ship. Overall, a wonderful excursion and highly recommended.

Elizabeth was great. Knowledgeable and prepared with pictures. The pastries and confections were good but because the title says chocolate tour, we expected more chocolate. It was just at the end as an option. It was a lot of chocolate at the end, but I would have preferred more varieties. We had a piece of pain au chocolate, half an eclair ganache that was great, and three round chocolate with nuts and candied fruit on it. Instead of 3 of the same, 3 different types of chocolate with the pastries would be better.

Elizabeth was a wonderful and informative tour guide and took it to some of the best shops for the taste tour. It was a remarkable experience.

We will start the tour at the Old port, Marseille's vibrant city's heart
We will go in the coffee place of The Chamber of Commerce of Marseille, the oldest in France, created in 1599.
We will walk along the Canebiere the historical and so famous avenue built in 1666 when the French king Louis XIV gave instructions for the city to be increased in size.
We will stop in front of the Opera house from Marseille a true architectural jewel, that represents the successful combination of the 18th century style and the art deco style of the 1920s.
