Outstanding experience

My husband and I had Victor as our guide for 3 excursions: hanging bridges hike, sunrise hike and arenal hike. I can't say enough about both Victor as a person and his expertise as a guide. He is so knowledgeable about plants, animals, birds and nature in general. It was amazing how he noticed found nature by listening and smelling so we saw so many things on each hike. He also shared fascinating information from his huge depth of knowledge. As a person he is warm and empathetic - always ensuring that the hike fits his clients. He gave us choices along the way to make sure we had the best experience. I would recommend him to anyone and I'm only disappointed he won't be with us for the rest of our trip.

We schedule a Volcano Hiking Tour, Swinging Bridge Hiking Tour and Waterfall Tour. Victor was our driver and tour guide. Firstly, Victor was prompt and on point with our group of 8 adults. Victor's people moving van was modern, clean and well air conditioned. Victor's knowledge of the area was wonderful throughout our touring. Victor was great spotting the wildlife and his English was very good. We had a great experience with Victor. He was friendly, interactive and integrated with our group wonderfully. He became part of our family, inclusive of sharing some beers after each excursion. If you want to enjoy the sights/sites and sounds of LaFortuna, enlist the services of Victor and his team. We were lucky enough to have Victor Rodriguez as our private tour guide twice during our stay. He is incredibly knowledgeable, easy-going and can spot birds and animals when no one else can. We absolutely recommend Arenal Private Tours and Victor!
Sloth hunt

Our guide helped us to find and observe 6 sloths, but we had to walk through deep mud to find them. We also found a blue Jean poison frog. I thought breakfast was listed as included in the package but that was not the case. Our guide tried to sell us a property in Costa Rica.
