This tour was a terrific introduction to wines of southwest-France and from other regions in France as well. Jessica was great about sharing her vast knowledge of wines of the region. I was especially glad to be introduced to wines from Fronton--a revelation. Thanks, Jessica for an interesting and taste-filled evening.

If you enjoy wine and learning some history and getting to try some unique wine grape varietals then this is an awesome experience. Our tour guide Julie couldn't have been nicer. Her enthusiasm for wine and teaching are obvious and she was very easy to talk to and knowledgeable. It was fun to see some of the more popular wine bars in Toulouse. The charcuterie board we had at Maison Sarment was one of the best I've ever had and I was introduced to the first "natural" wine I'm aware of that I really enjoyed. Le 5 Wine Bar also was great in that you got a chance to try some wines you probably never would get to because of the price of the bottle. Our tour ended there and we stayed at Le 5 for another hour sampling various wines we wanted to try. We met Julie again the following day at the Victor Hugo Market where she helped us pick out some snacks and wine that we got to enjoy at their shop in the market. She also followed up with all the places we went along with other food, wine and eating establishment recommendations. Absolutely brilliant time with Julie, exploring the magnificent wine bars that Toulouse has to offer. She was fantastic- clearly very knowledgable, but was keen to gauge our level of understanding first to make sure the tour went well. She also gave us many other handy and helpful tips to make the most of the rest of our stay too, so highly recommended, without question.

We were lucky enough to be the only people on the tour. With Jessica, we explored several areas of Toulouse we had not seen before. Great insight into wine making, tasting, and favourite wine bars. Will definitely return to the area again and try some other wines and recommended bars. As it's December, Christmas markets and decorations added to the great evening.
