The Benedictine abbey of Saints Peter and Paul in Tyniec was founded by Casimir the Restorer in 1044. The Benedictines refer to Saint Benedict of Nursia, who in his youth decided to become a hermit. After living in solitude, he became the superior of the monk community near his hermitage. However, they did not want to meet his requirements: they decided to poison him, but the chalice with poisoned wine fell apart when St. Benedict made a gesture of blessing over him. The saint left that monastery to found a new one, on the top of Monte Cassino, where the abbey, which has been ruined many times, is still standing today.

🤩
The Tyniec monastery, founded almost 1000 years ago and still fulfilling the purposes for which it was established 1000 years ago, is still a place where people come to find basic values and rediscover the value.
A wonderful place on earth! Craft beer that is superb and fresh, equally delicious food, friendly, professional and dedicated service – these are just some of the strengths and advantages of this place.
