Our Full Royal Tour...

Our Full Royal Tour wasn’t quite what we expected, the first part of the tour was a small group walking tour around a number of sites, our guide Will was very good, he had great knowledge and was very witty however the second part of our tour which was to be a tour inside Buckingham Palace was a large group tour of approx 60 or more people came as a surprise to us as it doesn’t read like that on the Viator website. We didn’t end up doing this part of the tour as you probably wouldn’t be able to see anything and realistically there is no way known that you would be able to keep everyone together with this amount of people.

Our guide Ashley was phenomenal! His blending of historical information with present day interest points was engaging and educational. His in depth understanding of how the changing of the guard functioned allowed us to have a spectacular front row seat for every part of the procession. The whole experience was a once in a lifetime and Ashleys keen sense of timing and knowledge of the city set him apart from every other guide.

The walk was very informative & lively. My problem was I didn’t realize how long. A 3hr walk was in a city with so few benches! Our guide was great. The Buckingham palace tour is something I never thought I’d experience! However one of the above would have been. Rough/19,000 steps!
