Karlovy Vary is a beautiful little town with amazing architecture and the added bonus of unique hot springs. The tour is dull and the guide uninteresting. It was not worth the price. We learned more about the town and history from reading it in our tour book. The guide, Hana, added nothing. The castle in Loket was fun to see and once again no history on the castle from the guide. The driver, Peter, was funny and did a great job.
See how the world-famous Bohemia Crystal is made, watch the masters blow the glass and artists cut it and paint it.
Enjoy the pleasant walk around the Colonnades with hot springs. Taste the hot mineral waters and try their healing powers on your own. The wealth of Karlovy Vary stems from its long history of a favorite spa resort of many rich burghers, politicians, and nobles - even kings and emperors!
An impressive and majestic medieval castle towering above the colorful town of Loket surrounded by deep forests.
A beautiful small town surrounded by a horseshoe bend - just like Cesky Krumlov, but much less touristy. A town where Goethe was dating his 18 years old Ulrike. The town is overseen by the medieval castle.
