Hagar was my guide. She was very knowledgable and I learned many new things about Coptic and Islamic heritage. She can also take some nice pictures of you if you ask.

Hager is an amazing guide. She’s genuinely very knowledgeable and has great story telling abilities (and a good sense of humour too!). She even did the haggling for us at the market. Thank you Hager, we had a great night at the market because of you!

My flight on the Luxor tour had been cancelled, so I decided to apply for this tour, which was quickly proposed. As a result, I was able to go on the best tour possible. At the Coptic Museum, you will be given time to take a closer look at what interests you. I was able to watch it slowly. And most of all, I will never forget the wonder and emotion of the mosque that Mohammed Ali visited. It is not just the pyramids! There are still places to visit in Egypt! This tour is absolutely recommended. The best guides who are knowledgeable and thoughtful It was great to meet Mohamed ! And thank you, driver Karam, for speaking to me nervous and for driving safely! Ramacid staff who made an effort to set up the event at short notice, Thank you ❗️
Start your tour visiting the Citadel of Salah El Din which was constructed by Salah El Din on the Moqattam hills in 1183 AD to defend Cairo from the armies of Crusaders.
After that visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came specially from Istanbul and built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Over 45 years.
Next, after a visit to the Monastery and Church of St George, an early 20th-century church that is the only round church in Egypt, call at Abu Serga, a 5th-century Coptic Church. View the 24 interior columns and 12th-century icons on the walls, and learn how the church stands where the holy family is thought to have stayed during their flight into Egypt from Israel King Herod.
Then, take a look at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, once a Christian church, before finishing your tour at the Coptic Museum, located in one of Coptic Cairo oldest areas. See some of the 16,000 ancient artifacts on display, including precious icons and books that illustrate the history of Egypt Coptic community.
At the end, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Stop to see the Hanging Church, aka St Virgin Mary Church. Built in the 7th century, this old church takes its name from its location: sited above a gateway in the old Roman fortress. Admire the courtyard and interior with its screens, marble pulpit and icons, and hear about its long history.
