Great trip! Tomas was very attentive to our needs and was professional in all aspects of his job. Highly recommend this trip, we did Salzburg first which in hindsight should done Hallstatt first only because Hallstatt for the most part closed up at 5:00PM whereas Salzburg stayed open until 9:30…… just something to keep in mind.

Great history and dramatic scenery combined. Our driver did a great job answering questions and noting points of interest, letting us know about current life in Austria and Germany

Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. For 1000 you basically get a driver to take you to Salzburg. Driver was very nice but had zero insight or direction on where to go. The Hallstatt portion is another 1.5 hours away and theoperator let us know the day before that the attractions there were closed. When I tried to cancel they wouldn’t let me because I had booked only 24 hours in advance. We didn’t even go to Hallstatt. Bottom line- work with your hotel and get a car and driver. Much cheaper. This listing is very misleading and fraudulent. But once they have your money not much you can do. Be very cautious.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We would like to clarify several important points so that future travelers have an accurate understanding of what this product includes. • This is not a tour with a licensed guide. The product description clearly states that this is a trip with an English-speaking driver, not a certified tour guide. This is mentioned twice — in the introductory text and again in the “What’s included” section, where it specifically says “not a licensed guide.” Our drivers know the area, recommend stops, help with planning the day, and provide general information, but they do not give historical commentary or accompany guests inside attractions. Tours with licensed guides are a different type of service and typically cost €400–500 more. • Travelers are asked to independently verify attraction availability. In the “What’s not included” section, it is clearly stated: “Please independently verify the opening hours and ticket availability.” This means that the operating hours of cable cars and attractions are not part of the service and cannot be influenced by us. Seasonal closures in Hallstatt and Salzburg are very common. Travelers may decide whether to continue with the trip or cancel after checking availability — in this case, the group chose to proceed. • Cancellation policies are set by Viator. As a provider, we must follow Viator’s rules consistently for all bookings. • This service cannot be compared to a taxi or hotel driver. Standard taxi or hotel drivers do not know Alpine routes, timing, parking locations, scenic viewpoints, or sightseeing logistics. Uber or regular taxis also do not provide full-day itineraries of around 500 km, and a private car with a driver for a full day would generally cost significantly more. • The price reflects the scope of the service. It includes a full-day trip, approximately 500 km of private transportation, a professional English-speaking driver, bottled water, all fees, and all taxes. • Our company has been operating for more than 8 years and has over 1,600 reviews. We provide thousands of trips across Europe each year. The product description is transparent and contains all essential information — however, it is very important to read it fully to ensure expectations match the type of service offered. We are sorry that the trip did not meet your expectations, but all key details regarding the service type, scope, and limitations were clearly stated in advance. Thank you for your feedback. Jan
