Overview

Witness the awe-inspiring Vøringsfossen, one of Norway’s most spectacular and iconic waterfalls! With a total drop of 182 metres, including a 145-metre free fall, it is a sight that truly takes your breath away.

Located at the edge of the Hardangervidda National Park, Vøringsfossen is framed by dramatic cliffs, deep valleys, and raw, powerful nature.

Standing on one of the many viewing platforms — or on the spectacular footbridge that spans directly above the cascade — is an experience that cannot be described. It must be felt !

This tour is a round bus trip that takes you along the beautiful Hardangerfjord, with memorable stops at Steinsdalsfossen and at the viewpoint above the Hardanger Bridge, where you can enjoy the majestic fjord from above.

Good local guide. She gave us useful info about Bergen and the surrounding area. Very rainy day. Good bus driver.

Highly recommended

This tour can be highly recommended. A fantastic tour with lots of experiences. Voringsfoss is enormous, and with the trip over the narrow bridge we had one of the most beautiful experiences we have had on a trip. Tasty lunch and film at the nature center. Thanks to our knowledgeable guide

Itinerary

  • Fossen Bratte

One of the most dramatic waterfalls along the route, Fossen Bratte – often called “The Bride’s Veil” because of its elegant white spray – is known for its impressive 80-meter drop and the powerful roar that echoes through the valley.

Today, the road passes through a tunnel behind the waterfall, but after parking, we can follow the old road to reach the top of the fall.

You can also choose to go the opposite way - down to the bottom of this mighty cascade, where you can truly feel the strength of the water.

Your guide is always with you, helping you find your way, take the best photos, and enjoy the best possible experience.

    25 minutes
  • Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall

Steinsdalsfossen, located near Norheimsund in Hardanger, is one of Norway's most popular waterfalls.

With a height of 50 metres, the waterfall is particularly famous for the path that goes behind the waterfall, so that visitors can walk dry-shod and experience the waterfall's power up close.

    30 minutes
  • Hardangerfjord

Just five minutes after Steinsdalsfossen, we arrive in Norheimsund – the vibrant heart of the Hardanger region.

Here, we meet the Hardangerfjord, often called the Queen of the Norwegian fjords. With the fjord stretching out in front of us and majestic mountains rising behind, this charming village perfectly captures the essence of Western Norway.

From Norheimsund, we continue our drive along the Hardangerfjord toward Granvin.

Along the way, we make a scenic stop of 2 minutes, giving you time to take in the deep-blue fjord, the towering mountain walls, and the small idyllic villages that dot the shoreline.

    1 hour
  • Hardanger Bridge

Our journey continues to the Hardanger Bridge, one of the world’s longest suspension bridges and an engineering masterpiece.

We stop at the viewpoint above it, offering an unforgettable perspective over the majestic Hardangerfjord as it cuts between steep mountains on both sides.

A beautiful contrast of modern design and timeless nature!

    20 minutes
  • Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger

The Norwegian Nature Center in Eidfjord is a modern, interactive experience center that takes you on a spectacular journey through Norway’s nature, climate, and environment.

Beautifully located at the foot of Hardangervidda, it is surrounded by the very landscapes the exhibitions describe.

You will watch the impressive 180-degree panoramic film — a breathtaking visual introduction to fjords, mountains, and waterfalls.

The center also offers engaging exhibitions suitable for all ages, with a strong focus on learning through experience.

During our visit, we enjoy a delicious lunch, which is included in the tour.

We spend 1,5 hour at the center before continuing our journey.

With a total drop of 182 metres, including a 145-metre free fall, it is a sight you simply cannot miss.

From the safe and well-designed viewing platforms, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramas and capture unforgettable photos.

Feel the fresh mountain air on your face, hear the deep roar of the water, and take in the dramatic landscape surrounding this famous waterfall.

We take our time here - our stop at Vøringsfossen lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes, giving you the opportunity to explore the viewpoints, the spectacular footbridge, and the impressive canyon from different angles.

    1 hour
  • Skjervsfossen Waterfall

Skjervsfossen is a striking double waterfall located along the National Tourist Route Hardanger, between Voss and Granvin.

With two cascades side by side and a combined drop of 150 metres, it offers an impressive and dramatic sight.

The area is beautifully developed with paths, stone steps, viewpoints, rest areas, and even a unique, award-winning toilet.

We first stop at the bottom of the waterfall, where you can walk right up to the foot of the cascade and feel the refreshing spray — a natural “shower” from the powerful torrent.

From here, you may follow the path up along the waterfall to the top.

If you prefer to stay with the bus, we drive through the famous Skjervet hairpin bends to the upper viewpoint, where platforms bring you close to the rushing water.

    30 minutes
  • Dale

On our way back to Bergen, we make a 20-minute stop at Dale Outlet, a welcoming shop located next to the historic textile factory that has made the village famous for its high-quality knitwear.

Here, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea — and take a closer look at the well-known Dale of Norway knitted products.
