We enjoyed Lucca but did not choose the restaurant our driver suggested as the menu was quite limited. When we got to Pisa our guide there, Allessandro, was fabulous. He gave us a great tour and his personality was witty and fun. We highly recommend him.

Hi Teresa! Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was such a pleasure being your guide in Pisa—I’m thrilled you enjoyed my 'witty' side and that we had such a fun time together. I also appreciate your honesty regarding the restaurant suggestion in Lucca. The beauty of my private tours is exactly this: total flexibility. My goal is always to suggest authentic, non-touristic local spots to give my guests a real taste of Tuscany, but you are never under any obligation to follow my recommendations. I’m actually glad you felt free to choose a place that better suited your tastes! The day is 100% yours to customize. It was a joy meeting you, Teresa, and I truly hope to see you again for another adventure in Tuscany! Warm regards, Alessandro

Lucca and Pisa are must see cities in Italy and Alex made our experience easy and fun. He picked us up at our apartment, drove us in a comfortable van, and provided just the right amount of information and background en route. At Lucca, he showed us the city and areas to explore and ensured we had reservations at a very nice restaurant. In Pisa, he handed us off to his local expert, also named Alessandro, who made a point of showing us the obvious must-see landmarks (leaning tower & cathedral) but, also showed us many otherwise overlooked sights in the city. Both guides were both knowledgeable and fun. Most highly recommend!

The driver Alessandro was excellent - very friendly, picked us up at our AirBnB exactly on time, and toured us around Lucca, giving restaurant recommendations, checking if we could get tickets to climb the tower, he answered all our questions in Lucca and during the drive. He also arranged a tour guide for us in Pisa. Our Pisa tour guide, also named Alessandro, was the best!! Not only friendly, entertaining and fun, but also very knowledgeable about the tower, the church and the history. He grew up in Pisa and his connection to the city and the site showed, which added to the experience. Overall, a top-rated experience.
