Nice and humourous Tour

jenniferpF8623LE, Oct 2024

It was a great tour of Würzburg with Rob. It was a lot of fun. He was able to explain the history of the city to us in a very humorous way. We had a very nice walk. Because of the nice weather, we had a great view of the city from the vineyards. We would book a tour with him again at any time.

Way beyond our expectations, stunning views, rich history great tour guide

My wife, friends, and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Marienberg Fortress. The castle exceeded our expectations in size, and its rich history was truly fascinating. The architecture is stunning, and the panoramic views of Würzburg from the fortress are simply breathtaking. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and added a touch of humor, making the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area! Additionally, this tour was much more affordable compared to the pricey options offered by our cruise, making it a great value for the experience.

Uk short visit

Jackie P, Sept 2019

Had a relaxing 4 days here. Apartments were massive. Very clean. Lovely sea view. Reception helpful. Balcony was so big. Sadly, we had bad weather we caught the storms was gutted. So went to the old town in the hills which was stunning. You can easily get bus or taxi. Also went to the harbour in the next town & walked to Vera. Shopped in the complex. Dolce Vita was great to sit by the sea at night & have a drink all lit up. We only came here to just chill on beach but only got 2 hours to do that in the whole 4 days ???? then 2 hours on the balcony. It was still warm though.

Thanks Jackie

Good views, but expensive

Frostisss, Sept 2019

As the activity is in english, I´ll try to do my review at this language, so sorry for the failures. I'm going to explain ALL the experience, with some conclusions at the end. We met with Rob at Mojacar, and he said to travel in our car to see the town and the beaches. Well, I've seen right now that it is said in Viator, but I can´t find it in TripAdvisor, so that was a bad surprise. After that, we went to Mojacar. He explained a lot of interesting things about it, we saw really beautiful places and he let us to do shopping there. It was nice. Later, we took my car to see the Macenas tower. We saw it in the car and we continued driving, as the tower isn't secure now. Once we have seen the Macenas tower, we kept driving to go to Pirulico tower. The road was awful. Me and my car were crying. But that tower is fantastic. Really really nice. There aren´t tourists and the views are incredible. Finally, we went to a beach pub, where music is played. For my girlfriend and for me, this was the worst part, as the pub is really expensive and we didn´t understand why did we have to pay more for the activity (to take a drink). Well, in Spain, when someone says that you can take another drink, you expect an invitation, but as we hadn´t cash we had to pay the entire bill with credit card. I think it may be for culture differences, as Rob is a nice person, but we felt scammed here. We could have just take a walk for the beach or something, I don´t know. Personally, I prefer activities where the price of the activity includes everything. In conclusion, good things: - Really beautiful places, where you probably can't go just with google maps, and some of them haven´t tourists. - Rob, the tour guide, is nice. - If you like the party, I recommend it. Bad things: - I see the activity expensive, as I´m taking my own car and we just see free places. - Not easy to see in TripAdvisor that you have to take your own transport (I haven´t seen it yet, and I read the activity 3 times).

Hi I just saw the review, Thanks for the good points. As for the drinks and bar I am sorry you had not so pleasant time, of course being college students it is harder. There is a reason why I ask to pay for drinks, is because TripAdvisor takes 50 percent of what I charge by the time it gets to my bank and pays taxes. A tour like this then is only 17 euros and no tour guide would do that, and so I ask to cover the drinks. Yes I wish I could make the price lower or if they had a way to make the price based on number of people. I will offer your complaints to them.

At its heart lies the Würzburg Cathedral, an impressive blend of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles. The nearby Marienkapelle, with its striking red facade and Riemenschneider sculptures, and the Rococo Falkenhaus, known for its intricate stucco work, are standout landmarks.
