Our excursion begins in Molde, the capital of the Romsdal province. Our journey takes us past Molde's popular hiking and skiing areas and the marble-studded mountains directly to Norway's most famous coastal road, the Atlantic Road. This unique and spectacular series of bridges connects numerous islands and reefs and was named Norway's Building of the Century in 2005. During a 30-minute photo stop, we have the opportunity to experience this interplay of nature and modern architecture up close. The tour continues along the breathtaking Hustadvika Coast, dotted with cliffs, reefs and sandy beaches. Our next stop will be at the delightful fishing village of Bud with a nice view on Bjørnsund Island. The next highlight is the 407m high Varden viewpoint. During the photo stop, a wonderful view of the fjord landscape with its countless small islands, the city and its impressive mountain panorama awaits us. Before we reach the harbor again, there is still time for a short city tour.

Nothing stunning the beach before the Atlantic highway (which is not as amazing as it seems) very pretty and deserves! Cute the bar

We did not enjoy the experience because the cruise did not reach port due to the storm. We did not even receive a brief reply when the situation was reported. We lost the money

We are not an official MSC tour operator. Our product was feasible. We are sorry that you were unable to participate at such short notice.

The tour was just ok. I think they did a good job but the Atlantic Road is not that impressive. Several bridges over a relatively short distance. The bus was comfortable but no bathroom. Many buses seem to go in a row and end up at all the same stops. They give you 20 min to take pictures but if you need to go to the bathroom the lines are so long it takes up the whole stop time. Seems like they should stagger the buses so it’s not so crowded at each stop. The guide was knowledgeable. There were some pretty landscapes but it took the whole day being bussed around in a large group and that in itself is not my favorite. If you enjoy being in a bus all day looking out the window you will love this.

Great tour but a little long. You really get to see Norway on this tour. Farm country and the Atlantic vistas.
You will see all main attractions in Molde, like the Rose Maiden, Jazz Boy, Rosegarden, Football stadion, Moldegård.
After passing by Molde's hiking and skiing area, you will see the nice fjord Malmefjorden, which is one of the only fjords which can be frozen in winter because of freshwater in the last part of the fjord.
The region is surrounded by mountains with high quality of marble. Marble mining began here in 1938 and the marble has been mainly used for the production of paper. Today, concerts and events take place in the cave system which is 40 km long.
Eide has a special history about it's electricity. You will hear more about it on the tour. The main business in Eide are marble and limestone manufacturing companies situated here.
You will cross the main part of the Atlantic Ocean Road which is about 8 km long. This part includes 8 bridges and stunning views of many little islets. The open stretch by the sea, named Hustadvika, is well known by fisherman and cruise ships. It can be difficult passing this area during bad weather because of shallows and sandbanks. Photo stop at the old toll booth with a view on the bridges.
You will make a photo stop with the best view of the bridges and the possibility for a walk around the peninsula of Eldhusøya. This will give you a special feeling for the Atlantic and you can experience nature up close.
Håholmen was in older times just a clipfish island. Clipfish is one of the special drying methods for fish in the southwestern part of Norway. Today, Håholmen is home of a small hotel with a Viking museum of the former owner and adventurer Ragnar Thorseth. You will learn more about the history of Ragnar on the tour.
Here you can find the world's northernmost formation of sand dunes. In summer the locals enjoy Farstadsanden for swimming and surfing. Photo stop with a view on the beach.
Elnesvågen is the municipality of Hustadvika and very well known as the birthplace of Jarlsberg cheese, one of the most famous cheese brands in Norway.
Bud is a delightful and historical fishing village. During a photo stop you can have a very nice view of the sea and the Bjørnsund Islands.. The group of islands were once home to a vibrant, flourishing fishing community, nowadays they are a summer vacation retreat.
From Varden viewpoint, 407 m above sea level, you can expect a great view of Molde and the impressive fjord landscape with its many islands. On a clear day you can also see the Romsdal Alps with its 222 mountain peaks.
Driving through Molde again, you will have a look on the landmark of Molde "Hotel Seilet" built in the style of the Burj al Arab in Dubai, with its sail-like shape and 82m of height.
