Really interesting hearing about the history of the city, the uses of the buildings and life styles of the monks. Our tour guide AJ was really enthusiastic about each place, answered questions and organised. The free lunch was also really nice and entry to each site was included. The coach was comfy and nicely air conditioned. It is hot walking around as expected so would recommend loose clothing but two water bottles are given by the driver and there are refill stations as it is a whole day trip (9am - 4.30pm) The temples do look similar each time but the history of each is different. Overall would recommend for those who can walk in the heat, and if believe value for money with the transport and information being included.

Thank you for the detailed review! We’re glad you enjoyed the history and AJ’s enthusiasm. It’s great to know the transport and lunch met your expectations. We’ll be sure to pass your praise to AJ and the driver. We appreciate the recommendation and hope to see you again!
Travel from Bangkok in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to your first stop in Ayutthaya, Wat Lokayasutha. This incredible temple is known for its giant reclining Buddha image, astoundingly one of the few structures left intact here.
Your next stop is Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, being part of the royal palace complex this is where royalty performed rituals. It is considered the most important temple of Ayutthaya.
Then, visit Wat Mahathat Ayutthaya. One of the oldest and most significant temples in the history of Ayutthaya, it once housed the Buddha's holy relic. Admire the famous Buddha head entwined within the roots of a Bodhi tree.
Last but not least, finish your trip at the grand, riverside Wat Chaiwattanaram. Marvel at its compelling architectural style, influenced by the Angkor Wat complex in Cambodia, as you wander around the monumental grounds.
