Only worrh it if can get one hour alone time in village

Just make sure you know that you don't get inside the castle at all. There is no time to walk on the rampparts either. You get a little time to walk through the village with the guide and take a few pictures. Out alone time was cut short because we were waiting for another person to show up for at least twenty minutes! Then when we were supposed to have an hour on our own to explore this was cut down to half an hour!! We should not have been punished for another guest, not showing up on time. We were all very disappointed and especially me ,since I've always ever wanted to go to Carcassonne ,and because I won't be back to France again☹️

Found it informative, convenient and relaxing tour from Toulouse to Carcassone. Trip was quick but we were able to tour the entire walled city.

It was very interesting and pretty... Suggestion... Wear warm clothes, cause it's very windy out there. Wish we had a little more time inside... Had only enough time to have a scoop of ice cream and check some souvenir shops.
