Overview
This private Tuscany day trip provides convenient pickup from anywhere in downtown Florence, making getting started as easy as possible. On the day of your tour, get picked up in a luxury minivan and prepare for a great introduction to the Chianti wine region, Siena, and San Gimignano.
This private trip is tailored for your group alone, providing an intimate exploration of some of the most famed parts of Tuscany.
After pickup, head to Siena, where you visit local landmarks such as the Piazza del Campo, home of the famous Palio, and the Siena Cathedral. Explore the town’s medieval streets, taste local food, and shop for gifts (own expense).
Continue along the famous Chianti Wine Road to the lovely hill town of San Gimignano, where you spend about two hours exploring the historic center before returning to Florence.
If you choose the option with a winery lunch, you’ll stop to taste wines and local food products, but will have less time to explore other destinations on the itinerary.

Wonderful experience and excellent tour guide!

Wonderful experience. Mossimo (our driver) picked us up right at our Airbnb and allowed us to add a stop at the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, which we greatly appreciated! He was an excellent tour guide who gave us plenty of history for each stop, and respected our time in each area, making sure that all members of our party were comfortable. I would highly recommend this day trip from Florence as a lovely break from the city.

We had a great day seeing Siena and San Gimignano! Marco was our driver who was wonderful and shared his knowledge about the Siena horse races! It was so interesting! We stopped in Siena and then had lunch at a winery which was amazing. Francesco was so passionate about winemaking and made our time so special. It was the highlight of our trip. We finished the day in the small village of San Gimignano. It’s a great way to see the small towns around Florence! I would definitely recommend this trip!

Marco provided information about each hill town before we arrived, which enhanced the experience of touring each town. The winery he selected was outstanding! The family who runs the winery provided an excellent lunch and wine pairing. The wine was exceptional and I ordered more than a case to be shipped home. Marco was very engaging, and gave us a sense of the history as well as the evolution of the communities.

Upon arrival, enjoy the best local monuments such as the famous Conch-shaped Piazza del Campo and the outstanding 13th-century Siena Cathedral.
Many local shops fill the historic streets of Siena that will allow you to taste or taste local food or buy some gifts!
