We were able to do a little star gazing before pick up as there is virtually no light poly. Manu was our driver and guide, prompt pick up and careful driver in the dark, playing lovely music for us. Guided us to a good spot for photos. Manu showed us the old sheep station, a very sad part of Rapa Nui history and also Haka Pei location which was so interesting(race down the mountain) Manu also stopped to show us a video of him completing the challenge. Excellent guide, thank you Manu.

The Ahu Tongariki is stunning and worth visiting. The best view is actually later in the day when the sun lights up the Moai faces, but sunrise is beautiful, too. The listing in Viator claims the tour is 4 hours and includes breakfast, but this is not true. We were picked up at the hotel on time (6:00am). On the drive, our guide told us some history of the Rapa Nui people, although it was difficult to hear (a combination of a very loud car/road noise plus his slurred speech). When we arrived at Ahu Tongariki, he took us to a good spot for viewing the sunrise, and then walked away. We sat and watched the sunrise (~7:20am), and then did a little exploring on our own. Just before 8am, he told us we needed to leave because he had another tour. We had not yet had a chance to explore the rest of the site, or finish taking photos. Plus, there was no breakfast. We were back at the hotel by about 8:30am. In summary, we did not get much of a tour at all, no breakfast, and under 2 hours on site. The listing is misleading, and not worth the price.

One of the best postcards in Rapa Nui. If it is raining, many people stop going... but the experience of a rainbow behind the Moai at dawn is PRICELESS! I recommend going regardless of the weather conditions, always bringing a coat. Rapa Nui Dream is an agency that I recommend 100% for price/quality and the management and concern for tourists stand out.

Hella was our guide. She was great. She brought coffee, cream, jackets and ponchos. She took great photos and bumped us in front of a very long line for photos at the best spot with the MOAI. Really great experience. She picked us up at our hotel timely. We were the first people there so got to enjoy every moment.
We will begin our trip at early in the morning to head to the Hanga Nui region.
Here is Ahu Tongariki, the greatest ahu of Rapa Nui, on a ceremonial platform 22 meters long, crowned by 15 moais.
Ahi Tongariki will be the perfect setting to see the Sunrise. The combination of colors, the sea and the historic Moais bring magic and mysticism to this place. It will certainly be a unique experience, the best way to start our day in Easter Island.
