Overview
Head to Saint Mark’s Square, where your venue for the mask workshop is located. You’ll be in the heart of Venice, making it easy to fit in other sightseeing plans either before or after the class.
A Venetian master artisan explains the ancient techniques of creating beautiful masks out of papier-mâché. Learn about the traditions of Venetian Carnival and masks that stretch back centuries.
Then enjoy hands-on instruction in creating your own mask led by a master. After the class ends, participants get to take their masks home. Or, if you're in Venice around Carnival, then you can wear your mask and join in the celebrations.

A lot of fun with interesting information about the importance of masks in Venice. We really enjoyed it and went away with a great souvenir from our trip that we made. Highly recommend!
Fun Venetian Mask making!

We had the absolute best time making our Venetian masks! Our 5 and 8 year old loved getting to pick out their mask and colors. Our teacher gave excellent directions for my kids to follow and he was so friendly. He offered tips and advice to help make our masks more traditional. While masks dried, he would answer our questions about Venice and the history. At the end, he added details to put the finishing touches on! Overall wonderful experience and would 100% recommend this for all ages. My husband and I also made masks as well! One of our favorite stops on our trip. We even bought some of his family made masks. Fantastic experience!

The most truly Venetian thing we did on our trip! The class was such a great experience, even my extremely left brained husband said he was so glad we did it (after complaining about it from the moment I booked it????) I would definitely recommend the class for anybody, it was not at all daunting or intimidating and great fun!!! - plus you get a very unique souvenir ????
