Make your own way to the traditional 'Kaiserjäger' park, located only 10 minutes from downtown Innsbruck.
The daily Skijumper show is featured from May until November at 10am-12pm and 1-3 pm (if weather and wind conditions allow).
To reach the viewpoint on the tower, people with a good level of fitness can walk up 455 steps from the eastern entrance of the stadium to the ski jump tower. Alternatively, the new inclined escalator provides a fast ride up to the top for as many as 350 people per hour, crossing the 820-foot (250-meter) stretch in two minutes.
When you arrive at the tower, take the elevator up to the Bergisel Sky restaurant, where the terrace stands 143 feet (43.5 meters) above the ground. From the terrace, see the Tyrol mountains, the Inntal Valley, and Innsbruck through a floor-to-ceiling glass façade.

Nice to visit with breathtaking views. Very run down place. One hour maximum visit though. Taxi best way to visit as up a mountain.

Very impressive. They were just preparing the ramp for the four-way tournament that would take place there a few days later. Nice view of the city of Innsbruck. The bus only comes once in an hour so we have been on foot to the mountain, but that was not so bad. Also on foot back down because the bus in that hour just did not come. The restaurant is also top notch, prices are not too bad, food is tasty, service friendly and a fantastic view of the valley, the city, the arriving planes, the Nordkette and Patscherkofel, ... Definitely do when you're around. Was closed on December 24 and 25. The Welcome Card also gives you a 1 euro discount. Just before the ski jump there is also a small park and museum (not visited) and kiosk overlooking the city of Innsbruck.

Spent a good hour here taking the tram to the top and the lift to the viewing platform. The jumpers are absolute dare devils and a joy to watch. Then went and sat in the sun on the deckchairs and admired their grace and bravery from the other end. Stunning views over Innsbruck. We went early and are glad we did as it was easy to get around without any waits.

Most of the reviews tell how to get there and to get discount tickets, rather than helping would be visitors avoid a waste of time and money on the worst of around 15 sites we visited in Innsbruck. The Bergisel site is run down and basic. If you like ski jumping, it may change your mind. If you are unfamiliar with it, you will learn nothing. What a missed opportunity for a place with a reasonably storied history. There is no interpretive signage or video clips to give you a sense of what happens here or what the experience might be like. The cafe kitchen closed an hour early and the staff were slow, surly, and uninterested— a good argument for American tipping. If you just want a view, save your last 500 steps and enjoy the Tirol Panorama just below it. The only thing we got out of our 35 minute visit was 15 minutes of uphill hiking. Do the Nordkette lift or Tyrolean Folk Museum to see how an operation should be run and for an experience you’ll remember that provides real value for your money.
No refund is possible if you cancel.
