Mila was one of the best guides we've ever experienced!! Knowledgeable, professional, funny, and just all-around exceptional. The excursion was everything we were looking for. Book early; we were lucky to take advantage of someone's cancelation.

Thank you so much for your enthusiastic review that inspires others! You are right that one need to book this tour in advance, as our availability is limited. More and more tourists are choosing private tours and we are happy to show our Alesund from all its beautiful sides!

Mila was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and informative. She provided time to explore things and took us to a variety of destinations around Ålesund. Mila also provided a Norwegian Snack for us to share. Mila was kind and helpful. I would highly recommend her as a tour guide.

It is absurd that a small Tesla was our means of transportation for 4 adults and a driver. We were packed in the back seat like sardines and it was so uncomfortable that one could not enjoy the experience.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
The car you called "absurdly small" was a Tesla Model S with a very spacious interior. If you felt discomfort, you should immediately tell about it and the guide could correct the situation on the spot. We have the same tour by minibus, perhaps you should have booked that one.

We arranged this 7/28/22 tour for our group of eight and received an email confirmation from Radmyla Jacobson on 4/4/22 that said confirmed the starting time and said our guide would meet us at the pier, near the exit from the ship. Unfortunately, our guide and bus were not at the pier when we arrived. After making several phone calls to Radmyla, it was determined that our guide was at another pier. It turns out that there are two piers in Alesund. Who knew? (To make matters worse, our ship was a half hour early, so we waited one hour in total.) When I contacted Radmyla later (via email) to request some compensation for the unplanned half hour, instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, she responded by suggesting that she punish the guide who apparently cried when she told her and offered to return her tip. A simple apology would have sufficed.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
First of all, we expressed our deep regret about the situation with the unforeseen delay of the tour. This situation was stressful for both the guests and the guide, who did not give up, but tried to find the guests at the address indicated on the ticket. You said it right - "who knew". The local port authorities apologized for the inconvenience and lack of information only late in the evening after massive complaints from tourists and tour operators. However, it is very sad when a well-run tour is rated very low just for 30 minutes of discomfort. The guide tried to cheer you up by treating you to a local delicacy - brown cheese. The driver bought for you local strawberries - the pride and heritage of our region - organic strawberries from the famous Valldal valley. Norwegians live by the proverb - Take care of each other. The guide and driver took care of you, and you took care of them too, rewarding them with a tip. However, we were very surprised to receive a request for compensation. Already now we understand that you probably wanted compensation as a simple apology, but we thought you were demanding money. We are very sorry for the misunderstanding.
