Overview
The rural villages, tiny islands, and lush rice paddies of the Mekong Delta lie just over an hour’s drive from Ho Chi Minh City. We had a great time with my partner on this tour. Our tour guide, Otis, was friendly and knowledgeable, he shared some interesting information about the places we visited during the tour. The tour included lunch as well and we got to try some local dishes. I'm vegan and our tour guide helped organise meals for me too.

Mekong Delta Trip with Family and Vincent

I had a Mekong Delta day trip with my family and Vincent was our tour guide. He was really caring, considerate, and helpful. His explanation of different destinations was top tier. He took care of both my parents and I which we think was a high end service. He showed us around different places around Mekong river and showed us coconut candy making and also riding the sampan ride which we did not expect to experience it. We also received really cute postcards and I really enjoyed this trip.

This full-day journey begins with a peaceful escape from Ho Chi Minh City's bustle to the magnificent Vinh Trang Pagoda. Marvel at this architectural treasure dating back to the 19th century, where intricate carvings, ornate design elements, and serene gardens offer a glimpse into Vietnam's spiritual heritage and rich cultural history.
Featuring the most unique architectural style in Southern Vietnam, Vinh Trang Pagoda's highlight is its triple-gate entrance adorned with intricate ceramic and porcelain mosaics. Ancient artisans skillfully arranged colorful fragments to create vivid illustrations depicting Buddhist stories, folk tales, sacred animals, seasonal motifs, and natural elements like flowers, leaves, clouds, and sky—all blending together in perfect harmony like painted artwork.

A relaxing bicycle tour through Tan Thach village is then offered, allowing close observation of daily rural life and friendly interactions with the local community.
