The Mauritshuis is home to the best Dutch paintings of the 17th century from the age of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Situated in the heart of The Hague, the compact and world-renowned collection includes masterpieces such as Vermeer's 'Girl with the Pearl Earring', 'The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp' by Rembrandt, The 'Goldfinch' by Fabritius and 'The Bull' by Potter. For younger visitors, there is a special tour.From 13 February to 29 June 2025, the Mauritshuis will commemorate the liberation of the Netherlands, 80 years ago. Their art collection in storage, propaganda exhibitions, musical performances and people hiding for the Arbeitseinsatz – went through a very turbulent period during the German occupation. The exhibition 'Facing the Storm; A Museum in wartime' will focus on this special time in the history.

  • The museum is wheelchair accessible, however, the wheelchair can’t be longer than 150cm or wider than 78 cm

  • Participants (age 0-17) can enter for free, but it is mandatory to reserve a ticket

  • Mauritshuis is open from Tuesdays to Sundays 10:00am - 6:00pm and on Mondays 1:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Explore the collection with an exciting free multimedia tour
  • The museum operates on time slot entry. Tickets must be used a maximum of 15 minutes after the start time stated on your ticket. Following your entrance, you can stay as long as you want
  • Your e-ticket allows you to bypass the cash desk. However, these admission tickets do not grant you priority at possible queues outside and in front of the exhibition room
  • A multimedia tour of the collection is included in the admission fee through your smartphone
  • The full multimedia tour is available in English and Dutch. The highlights tour is available in Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese
