A poetic walk echoing our 5 senses to discover Menton (the well-named Pearl of the Côte d'Azur), the French capital of citrus fruits and lemons, and the sunniest town in France, nestling at the foot of the mountains and bathed by the Mediterranean. There will be plenty of opportunities to taste local products (specialities from Menton, citrus products, olive oils, etc.) and meet craftsmen (earthenware) or artists (painters).

Vibrant Menton Experience

We had an excellent time in Menton. It is a charming and vibrant city and one of the best parts of our vacation so far. Our guide Cyril expertly led us through the streets highlighting architecture, tastings and providing recommendations when we expressed interest in returning. The views were beautiful and made for some great photos and we were able to take the opportunity to shop for some quality local goods
Great Introduction to Menton

My friends and I would definitely recommend this walking tour of Menton. Thanks to our excellent guide, Cyril, we discovered many historical and practical facts about the city that would otherwise have escaped us. It is also a great way to find your bearings on arrival. Highlights included the lovely old town, the Basilica of St Michael, and the stunning views. Unfortunately the Botanical Gardens were closed at the time, but we were delighted to visit the Salle des Marriages which had been off limit to the public earlier in the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk with Cyril. He is extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. (We visited the Botanical Gardens another day - fabulous!)

Our guide Cyril was very knowledgeable and told us many interesting facts about the history and culture of the city. The route was well planned and we discovered many beautiful corners and places that we might not otherwise have found. The city is really beautiful and I can recommend anyone to visit it. A tour of Menton is a must! The town has such a rich history that you wouldn’t discover without the help of a guide. Cyril was extremely knowledgeable; he gave us a comprehensive overview of the history of the town from its origins as an area of lemon farms, to an Italian territory, to a Victorian holiday destination. His knowledge is not limited to Menton, but is also informed by a wider understanding of the history of the French Riviera. We finished the tour with some samples of local lemoncello, which was the perfect ending!

After visiting the nicest districts in Menton city center, with remarkable Belle Epoque & Art Nouveau architecture, we will pass in front of the Town Hall, have a look on the beautifull building hosting the market of Menton (morning), we will visit the most known pedestrian street full of nice squares, shops and attractions before to enter in the center of the Old Town & its impressive main church, a must of the baroque architecture!
