A long but amazing day!

esmith3728, Jul 2025

We really enjoyed our day with David. Both he and our driver were professional, courteous and knowledgeable guides of all three cities. We loved seeing so much of the countryside and learning so much about France and its history.

Give this short tour of Normandy a go

Patrick_L, Jan 2025

I really wasn’t sure, when booking this tour, it if was going to be worthwhile. After all, Normandy is far from Paris, and I feared that a day trip might be too rushed to be able to fully appreciate the sights. Well, I am pleased to report that I was wrong. The trip ran smoothly and gave a very good glimpse into the places visited. The highlight for me was Etretat with its striking cliffs, the scene of one of Maurice Leblanc’s (the author of Arsène Lupin novels) most memorable books (« l’Aiguille Creuse »). Even better, the sea was calm and the sun shone, a rarity in these parts. Overall, the tour is varied and well-paced, leaving plenty of time for a self-guided leisurely stroll … or a hot chocolate! A special commendation must go to our guide Ilia. He added a lot of value to the tour, not only through his extensive knowledge of local history and geography, but he is also extremely personable and enthusiastic. He was always happy to take questions and elaborate on certain points. Let’s not forget our driver Ivan, who drove for many hours in a way that felt safe and comfortable. Not a small feat in Paris traffic and in Normandy fog. So, well done to all concerned. I can highly recommend this tour, especially if based in Paris and time is short.

An absolutely outstanding day

Sharon_R, Jan 2025

We had an amazing day exploring the Normandy region with David as our guide and Alex as our driver. The tour was thoughtfully planned and beautifully presented. David and Alex were engaging and attentive and truly made the entire day an absolute pleasure. David took beautiful pictures for us and knew all the best spots to capture memories. Our guides matched the tour to the pace of our group and went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort. Their interactions with our group were enthusiastic and genuine which was an absolute treat. This tour was a definite highlight of our packed European holiday itinerary and we would absolutely recommend as a day well spent, particularly if you’re lucky enough to be guided by David and Alex!

Excellent Tour of Etretat and Rouen

Katherine_P, Jan 2025

We had an amazing private tour of Etretat and Rouen with Ilya. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, providing interesting details about the history of each location. The van was comfortable and clean and the driver, Vadim, was skilled and courteous. The communication ahead of the tour was timely and thorough and Clyde was very accommodating. Thank you Clewel Tours for making our day so special.
