Overview
Take a walk in the Alcazar Viejo district to view the flower-filled courtyards of Cordoba. Your tour gives you access to five private residences where you can get see the flowers on the patios and meet the residents. Though the annual Festival de los Patios is held in the spring, the patios can be enjoyed at other times throughout the year with this tour.

It takes you to visit some of the smaller private patios not the larger attractions standardly visited by tourists. It also provides interesting historical information regarding the functions of patios in earlier times, snippets of insight into the social history of Cordoba. So not just about the gorgeous floral displays, beautiful as they are!

As a professional in the field, I must say that I loved it. The last two we visited were very good; the rest can improve, although I acknowledge that the work of the owners is immense to maintain them in these conditions.

I'm sure the guide did his best but there seemed to be a lot of speaking about quite basic things. We saw 2 patios, very nice but nothing knock your sox off: the city has just as many nice plants and flowers around the civil streets and footpaths. Seemed a lot of walking for now much "wow".

The experience is focused not only on the patios themselves, but also on their history, traditions, neighbourhood culture and the local way of life that surrounds them. During the Patios Festival, access and routes are also regulated by the city, which is why the tour combines walking sections with guided explanations between patios.
