Your Salem walking tour starts at the Old Town Hall, a convenient meeting point in the center of town. Led by a historian guide, you’ll traverse 400 tumultuous years of Salem's past, saving yourself the effort of personal research.
As you wander between stops, the guide helps you unravel the layers of the 1692 Witch Trials Hysteria. You’ll also encounter modern-day witches, and hear chilling tales of Salem's history that you’d likely miss otherwise.
The route of the tour follows the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall, once a Native American trading path, leading to the site of the First Church of Salem. the oft-photographed Bewitched Statue of Elizabeth Montgomery, the Salem Witch Trials Memorial, and other landmarks.

This was such a fun tour throughout an amazing town. I really liked how so much of Salem history was covered, not just the witch trials. Diane was such a great tour guide and she told the stories of Salem with such confidence. I’m a big history buff and there were so many things about Salem and the witch trials that I didn’t know before this tour. I will 100% recommend this tour to friends going to Salem in the future.

We booked the tour only two hours in advance - that worked perfectly. When we arrived at the meeting spot it turned put that it would just be our guide Heidi, my friend and I. We had an amazing time with Heidi. She told us a lot about the history of Salem as well as some ghost stories. She also answered all our questions and you could see how interested she was herself and how much she enjoyed the tour as well. We loved it and would recommend it to anybody :)
