On this tour, you will see all the main highlights of Tallinn’s Old Town and learn more about daily life in the Middle Ages.
We’ll explore merchants’ dwellings, a 15th-century pharmacy that’s still in operation, the medieval marketplace, the district of knights and nobility, churches, the Town Hall, artisans’ and merchants’ guild halls — and of course, the city wall and its towers.

Anya was very informative. She was super prepared, kind, knowledgeable, and brought us two cans of kvass too! It was a rainy afternoon but she was very kind and offered to find places with cover to stop and talk under. She was very prepared with knowledge, pictures, an iPad w more, and riddles! Tallinn Town Hall
You will see the oldest surviving Town Hall in the Baltic région and Scandinavia and a medieval pharmacy with a small museum of medicines that were used in the Middle Ages. (Like earthworms for example...)) we will discuss punishments and celebrations that took place at the Town Hall square in those days....

We will see and explore the preserved segment of city wall and some towers including the famous "Look in the kitchen" tower...

We will see the Upper Town Castle, Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral, noblemen's palaces, Dome church, amber shops and viewing platforms.

The oldest street in Tallinn, unique steep connection street between the Lower Town and the Upper Town
15 minutesLong Street (Pikk tanav)
The Brotherhood of Blackheads was powerful unmarried merchants association. There are a lot of funny and heroic stories to tell. You will know about fines for brawls andthe incurrence of Christmas tree tradition.
