Knossos labyrinth : historical site of great importance; must use one’s imagination to picture what it must have been like 4500 years ago, Therefore I recommend to see the museum with the marvelous artifacts before doing the tour in Knossos. I really liked our tour guide ; she was very energetic and knowledgeable about Minos and how she ruled over the island and beyond peacefully for many years. Many questions remain: was it a natural disaster or flighting between clans that led to the decline of the Minoans? What Minos a man or a woman or both?

Dear Christelle, Thank you so much for your insightful review and for joining our Knossos semi-private tour! We’re delighted that you enjoyed discovering the fascinating world of the Minoan civilization with our passionate guide. Your curiosity and thoughtful reflections truly capture the mystery that still surrounds King Minos and the fall of this extraordinary culture. We couldn’t agree more — visiting the Archaeological Museum before Knossos is indeed the perfect way to bring the ancient palace to life. We hope to welcome you again soon for more myths and discoveries across Crete! Warm regards, The Travel Crete – WeGuide Travelers Team

We had no experience. We had to forfeit our money. The night before the tour we asked the concierge how to get to our meeting point. He told us that we would either have to pay a taxi 200 Euros each way and take a rwo hour drive in a taxi to the meeting point and a two hour drive in a taxi to return to our hotel. 400 Euros plus a tip and four hours travel time for a 1-1/2 hour tour. Our other option was to take a bus with five hours of travel each way. Viator was aware of where we were staying in Old Chania. We decided not to do the tour. So disappointing.
