Nadia was an excellent guide who gave us a thorough insight into the Market place, Castillo de Santa Bárbara and the Old Town, as well as the history of the region. We sampled some delicious food and drinks too. The tour was very well presented and extremely good value for money spent

The tour is described in the company’s booklet as a Secrets tour whereas on Viator it’s described as a History tour with tapas tasting. We didn’t see much of the old town, the tour of the central market was brief with a small tasting, the tour of the castle was only at the lower level. We walked down to Santa Cruz with our guide pointing out the blue house (from above) then we went in another direction. Overall I was disappointed- it wasn’t what I was expecting.

Alicante is not even welcoming to the Spanish, never mind the numerous other countries, i tried to persuade my Mrs from Dublin to switch from Benidorm to Alicante, she was right all along, at least you given a smile in Benidorm when.they ask for money!

The meeting point on the steps of the market was also the meeting point for several other tours as well. Our tour guide arrived late which didn’t help with the total confusion that was going on. Several of our eventual group had asked other tour guides if we were with them! The tour was interesting and a good way to find out about Alicante. The tapas bar we went to was one of a chain which was disappointing as we were expecting to go to a place that Spanish people would use not one with mainly tourists. The tapas was fine.
