Gustavo was a great guide and custom designed the tour for us. We knew Rio is famous for stret art (large wall murals and mosaic work) and we wanted to explore that. Gustavo took us to less visited areas of the city where there is hidden street art , explained the meaning, was flexible with our plans. We would not have seen these street arts unless we did this tour. It’s cool to see amazing murals just about on any building or street. While you do run into some ugly graffiti walking around, there are gems of street art around the city, Some beautiful artwork is hidden on narrow streets, so it’s worth taking the tour with a guide.. However, I paid $120 for 2 people’s tour. keep in mind this is walking tour. It was 100 degrees on the day we went so we did Uber from Santa Teresa and elsewhere so we paid for 3 or 4 Uber rides which we knew up front. I see they have raised the price for this tour to start at $300. DON’T pay $300 for this tour. $120 for two people is reasonable, not more than that.
