Most Verona tours stay above ground at the Arena and the Roman theater, but the city's earliest Roman layers sit below the medieval streets—only visible at two underground archaeological sites in the center. Visit via San Cosimo and Corte Sgarzerie, with the archaeologists who conducted the excavations themselves, and learn what each structure reveals.

It was a beautiful experience, not only for the beauty of the two sites, but above all for the preparation, friendliness, and enthusiasm of Morena, my guide. I chose this experience for my birthday and I can say that I celebrated it in the best way possible.

The tour was one of the highlights of our trip. The guides were very knowledgeable about the excavations and the archaeological context of Verona. They were also great at answering questions from the group.
With an archaeologist you can go underground and visit the remains of the Capitolium, the most impressive Roman temple in Verona
With an archaeologist you can go down and visit the basement of Palazzo Vimercati where important Roman remains are preserved
