This turned out to be a private tour for just me and my daughter!! And we loved it...There was some confusion about where it started, but the tour office were very helpful, and the lovely Ivana, our guide, was just amazing - she tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to see. She was patient and thoughtful, and great company. Both Split and Salona are fantastic places to visit we had a great day!

Diocletian Palace is one of the best preserved monuments of the Roman architecture in the world. The Emperor's Palace was built as a combination of a luxury villa - summer house and a Roman military camp (castrum), divided into four parts with two main streets.
The Archaeological Museum in Split is the oldest museum in Croatia and was founded in 1820.
The ruins of the ancient city of Salona, situated at the foot of the mountains just northeast of Split, are the most archaeologically important in Croatia.
