Booked a half day wine tour with Franck from Nantes. Franck kindly picked us up near our accommodation. He drove in his immaculate Jeep through the beautiful countryside of the Loire Valley. Franck told us the history of some of towns we passed, Clisson a charming town comes to mind. We stopped in a vineyard near a Windmill and we sampled one of the wines Franck had bought. Franck has an outstanding knowledge of wine and explained the farming methods involved. We then visited a winery and sampled various wines which was great fun and very informative. We purchased a few wines to take back to our apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed Franck’s company and will look forward to him bringing a lorry load of wine to Au Pays de Galles and Irlande!!! FABULOUS vineyard tour and wine tasting with Frank. He is so knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. His English is excellent. We stopped off in two vineyards (the second one had an old windmill where we stopped for a tasting). We then went on to a winery where we saw the press machines and fermentation process and onwards to taste several wines. It was so informative and enjoyable, and great value for the half day trip.

Franck was a fabulous guide! He is very knowledgeable and organized without being intrusive during our day with him. We sampled about twenty wines at various locations and had a lovely lunch together. We wouldn’t change a thing about our day which started at 9:15 and ended at 5:45. Book a tour - you won’t retreat it.

A huge thank you to Frank for a fabulous afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience which gave us a great insight into how Muscadet is produced. We loved visiting the pretty villages and very much enjoyed tasting the delicious wines chez Raphael Ludeau. We would thoroughly recommend the excursion.
