Overview
Switzerland’s world-famous cheeses are best enjoyed under the guidance of a local expert, but you don’t have to travel out to a countryside farm for an authentic experience. This guided cheese tasting is held at a cheese shop right in the heart of Basel. Taste at least six different cheeses from all around Switzerland and learn some of the secrets that put Swiss cheesemaking on the map.

Exceptional Cheese Tasting

Our experience was very nice. Jonas is very knowledgeable and had a very good cheese selection for our tasting. His energy is calm, and very welcoming ensuring you learn something new on this tasting. We loved the most because he gave us an amazing knowledge how to shop a good cheese in the store and what to look out for. When in Basel, I highly recommend doing this tour.

Fantastic experience. Great selection of unique and original cheeses from local farmers. We loved the stories behind each of them. We were able to purchase our favourite cheese as shop provided vacuum packing that allow us to travel with them.

We were able to taste a variety of very good cheeses and previously unknown cheeses (e.g. herbal cheese), from which we also bought something afterwards. A lot of background knowledge about cheese production was also provided.
