Welcomed by the guide, we set off towards the acropolis of the city, enjoying a splendid view of the
surrounding countryside and on the Medieval walls that surround the edges of the city expanded beyond the original city walls, the Etruscan one, of which you can admire the imposing main gate, the Etruscan Arch, continuing the route.
Walking along the Etruscan walls you return to Piazza IV Novembre, one of the most beautiful squares
Medieval of Italy, in which the Fontana Maggiore stands, an artistic and engineering masterpiece
of the end of the thirteenth century. Here, too, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo contrasts face to face,
beneath which is the archaeological route of Underground Perugia and the Palazzo dei Priori, symbols
of spiritual and temporal power. The route continues along the main street of the city, which
it hosts museums and testimonies of the important history and cultural richness of the place.
The last stage leads you to immerse yourself in the fascinating Rocca Paolina, symbol of papal power in
city, to then re-emerge and conclude the visit with a splendid panorama which, behind the imposing mass of the Basilica of San Domenico, spans 180°.
